(1.School of Sports and Health,East China Normal University,Shanghai 200241,China;2.Sang Ji University,Wonju-si,Gangwon-do 220-702,Korea) Abstract: The authors interpreted elective physical education courses in the 2011 version of Physical Education Cur-riculum Standards of Korea in terms of framework system, curriculum objectives, content areas, objectives to be achieved, implementation and evaluation etc. This research shows that Korean high school physical education curricu-lum standards build course objectives and content systems mainly based on courses, and that the curriculum contents are mutually linked, value the learning of physical education culture and basic principle knowledge, permeate “em-ployment” education, and highlight the cultivation of student’s professional sports makings and abilities. We should ac-tively probe into the reconstruction of the high school physical education and health curriculum standard system in China, exert the bridging role of high school physical education curriculum study at junior high school and college stages, add the knowledge of physical education culture, basic principles of physical education, and occupation perme-ated education, guide the students to a correct physical education employment orientation, and gradually fulfill the combination of healthy personality, physical education knowledge learning and future employment.
