(Department of Physical Education, Shaoguan Institute,Shaoguan 512005,China) Abstract: In order to seek for a new method for PE teaching,the author,aiming at the shortages of traditional PE teaching,carried out a research type teaching experiment in accordance with research type teaching theories and by combining the characteristics of swimming technique teaching and referring to the achievements of modern teaching theories,and revealed the following findings: After 2 rounds (with 60 students in the first round and 53 students in the second round) of experiment for one month per round,the swimming technique,basic knowledge and examination score of students in the experiment class are all superior to those in the control class, and the differences are remarkable (P<0.005 and 0.001),indicating that the result of research type teaching is superior to that of traditional teaching. Research type teaching is a teaching method that deserves to be popularized. Key words: research type teaching; swimming teaching; experimental research |
