| (College of Physical Education, Suzhou University, Suzhou 215021,China) Abstract: The author studied the interaction of the development of sports social science and the development of the society,and drew the following conclusions: In China,the development of sports social science meets the need for the development of the modern society,since sports social science is provided with powerful social functions and superior social value, as well as distinctive interactive characteristics,namely,desirability,permeability,amalgamable nature,developable nature; furthermore,the need for the construction and development of the modern society speeds up the development of sports social science,and it is the common need of both elements for development that produces positive interaction.
