(College of Physical Education, Henan University, Kaifeng 475001,China) Abstract: The author established the following 11 factors which affect track and field teaching quality in common PE colleges and universities in Chine: degree of attention paid by the leaders, level of popularization of management science, academic teaching conditions, input of academic funds, teacher’s vocational spirit, teacher’s capability of scientific research, student’s favorite level, student’s background of specialty, contents of teaching materials, and proportion of test scores. The author also carried out factor analysis on these 11 factors and developed 4 major factors, namely, teacher factor, student factor, management factor, and non-subjective factor. The author probed into the issue of how to enhance affect track and field teaching quality in common PE colleges and universities in Chine, and offered some proposals.
