Abstract: By using study approaches such as literature data, mathematical statistics and logic analysis, the authors carried out statistical analysis on information of theses accepted in 《Physical Education》 periodical literatures reprinted by China People’s University 2001-2004,and revealed the following findings: Physical Education mainly reprinted research achievements in sports humanities sociology in full text,showing up-to-date character,leading edge,and policy making character; articles in the aspects of sports research,sports industry,sports event summarization and scholastic sports are the major targets for reprinting; Chinese major periodicals in PE category and major periodicals in China humanities social sciences are the main sources for the articles reprinted;Physical Education has a high volume of reprinted theses which are about the topics of projects funded by the state, province or ministry, or written by persons with a senior title of professional post, doctors or maters, thus being an import periodical for sports academic communication in China.
