Abstract:With globalization of Wushu,the function of translation as an intercultural bridge has long been neglected.The way of Wushu lies in the harmonious unity of the external form and the internal spirit,and so is the case with nature of translation.Based upon an exploration of the current Wushu translation studies in China and the stylistic features and cultural connotations of Wushu terms,English translation of Wushu terms should be orientated to cultranslation and be guided by “seeking for the outer formal correspondence and the inner spiritual similarity”.Moreover,it should emphasize the relevant issues to the expression of culture,such as superiority of transliteration in culture facsimile,cultural symbiosis by mixed different language signs,cultural flavour in transplantation of imagery,borrowing words to cultural adaptability,cross-media cultural transmission in annotated pictures.
