Abstract:By surveying 17 regional and municipal sports schools,amateur sports schools,and traditional sports event schools in Henan province, the authors revealed that the main factors that affect the cultivation of the backup talents of competitive sport in Henan province include capital investment,condition of hardware equipment,quality of the source of students,athlete employment,management system,event setup, game system, talent selection and training,and coach capability,etc.,which provides a valuable reference for related leading departments to guide the work according to the situation, to standardize management,and to establish relevant policies for backup talents of competitive sport.
