Abstract: By referring to the punishment measures taken for the “Telephone Gate” event occurred in class A foot-ball league tournament in Italy, the authors studied and analyzed the prevention of malpractices in professional football in China, and considered that the following methods would be effective: The punishment should be rein-forced; fake games should not be punished in a fake way; the Supreme People’s Court and Supreme People’s Pro-curatorate should issue corresponding juridical interpretations; referee professionalization should be implemented; the education of sense of honor or disgrace and professional ethics should be strengthened in order to create a fa-vorable field order for the league tournament.
