Abstract: With the development of the era, traditional Chinese sport is gradually fading away from the leisure sports life of the masses, becoming a target pursued by the minority, while it becomes ever increasingly diversified in terms of value system and expression mechanism and unconsciously enters into the paradox of development – seeking for diversified development. For this phenomenon, the author firstly expatiated on the basic connotation of the value system of traditional sports culture, secondly analyzed the intrinsic system for producing the value recognition of traditional sport, and lastly put forward that the basic orientation for establishing the value recognition of “traditional sport serving the harmonious social development of China” is the precondition for getting out of the dilemma and realizing sustainable development.
