(1.School of Physical Education,Hubei University,Wuhan 430062,China; 2.Department of Physical Education,Hunan City University,Yiyang 413000,China)Abstract: The authors used the industrial organization theory to analyze the market concentration degree, differ-ences in products and services, industrial barrier condition, market capacity and future supply capability with re-spect to the sports industry, and revealed the following findings: the overall market structure of the sports industry in China is a discrete type structure; the degree of differences in sports products and services is relatively low; direct administrative regulation in the area of the sports industry is being gradually replaced by legal regulation; the phe-nomenon of unbalanced sports consumption demand and supply still exists, but is being improved. Based on their research findings, the authors probed into the objective mode of the competition monopolized market structure of the sports industry, and put forward corresponding measures and suggestions for optimizing the market structure of the sports industry in China.
