(1.Department of Leisure Sports and Managemant,Guangzhou Institute of Physical Education,Guanzhou 510500,China;2.Department of Physical Education,South China Agriculture University,Guangzhou 510642,China) Abstract: The author investigated and analyzed the differences in the sports consumption level and structure of various social stratums in the Pearl River Delta area, and revealed the following findings: a significant trend of stra-tum differentiation shows in all shorts of expenditure; the proportion of expenses on sports supplies and fitness sports to total sports expenditure increases as stratum status rises; the effect of the difference in resource possession associated with specific occupational status on total sports expenditure is not negligible. At the end of this article the authors offered such action specific suggestions to governmental departments as rationalize the stratum structure, adjust the income distribution system, enhance education performance, and rationally classify profit and nonprofit fitness sports entertainment operating organizations Key words: sports consumption;stratum differentiation;Pearl River Delta |
