Abstract: The author first expatiated on the stand of western sports culture and traditional national sports culture in cultural controversy, and then probed into the development of Chinese Wushu, and put forward the following opin-ions: we should, on the basis of rational thinking, oppose arrogance and Utopian craze, and calmly face our cultural disadvantages; only if we cultivate the recognition of Chinese Wushu culture with a culturally confident attitude by means of arousing people’s cultural awareness of Wushu and upholding our stand of cultural self-respect, can Chi-nese Wushu in today’s cultural fight have independent survival capability and lasting power for development, and make due contributions to the comprehensive renaissance of Chinese national culture.
