(1.School of Physical Education,South China University of Technology,Guangzhou 510641,China;2.School of Physical Education,South China Normal University,Guangzhou 510631,China) Abstract: In order to study the effects of the supplement of carbohydrate-electrolyte drinks on body fluid balance and sports capacity during hypoxic training, the authors selected 7 healthy students from a physical education insti-tute to participate in the experiment and exercise in a normoxic or hypoxic environment (a hypoxic tent with 15.4% of oxygen concentration) under the load of 70%VO2max until they were exhausted – no fluid or drink was supple-mented during exercising, and revealed the following findings: after having done an exhausted exercise in a hypoxic or normoxic environment, the human body showed signs of dehydration, such as weight loss and rise of serum os-motic pressure; the supplement of carbohydrate-electrolyte drinks during exercising can significantly improve the conditions of dehydration, and recover body fluid balance; in a hypoxic or normoxic environment, with the relative increase of exercise load with the same absolute intensity, during exercising the heart rate increased significantly, the exercise time was significant shortened, but with the supplement of fluid, the heart rate decreased significantly, and the exercise time was significantly lengthened; in a hypoxic environment, the accumulation of lactic acid in an exercising body was accelerated, but the supplement of fluid can significantly lower blood lactic acid value after exercising. The experimental results indicate that timely supplement of carbohydrate-electrolyte drinks during hy-poxic training can effectively prevent the loss of body fluid, being conducive to maintaining heat rate, eliminating lactic acid, enhancing body sports capacity, and promoting body recovery.
