Abstract: Occupational languidness of physical education teachers refers to a sense of tiresome and indifference as well as its corresponding behaviors produced among physical education teachers due to the lack of the sense of suc-cessfulness since their duty jobs are not duly respected and supported by the school and society for a long time. The author concluded that the lack of occupational pride, pressure brought by new curriculum reform, fear about acci-dental injury incidents occurred in physical education classes, the lack of correct understanding of the nature of physical education curriculum, and the lack of independency in the construction of disciplinary theories of physical education, are the root causes for occupational languidness of physical education teachers in middle schools. In or-der to reduce or even eliminate the occurrence of occupational languidness, physical education teachers in middle schools should solidify their occupational belief, strengthen the learning of specialized knowledge, and overcome the effect of various internal and external adverse factors.
