(Research Center for the Educational Development of Minorities,Northwest Normal University,Lanzhou 730070,China) Abstract: Chinese sports gestated on the land of China are not only promoted by local cultures, but also restricted by local cultures. Especially, due to the effect of such three major factors as traditional ideology, rise of intellectuals and change of war form, national sports represented by Wushu have gradually lost their “martial” attribute, and got on the “cultural” track. Although Chinese national sports did not become very competitive sports ultimately, they have unique characteristics. Therefore, the author suggested that we should avoid the value orientation of “always thinking about boxing when talking about Wushu or competition when talking about sports”, face up to the history, follow the pattern, and turn resistance into power.
