| （1.School of Chinese Language & Culture，Jinan University，Guangzhou 510610，China；2.School of Physical Education，Henan Normal University，Xinxiang 453007，China） Abstract: In the process of modernization, Taijiquan has such problems as the lack of a definite conclusion of its origin, mutated boxing function, researches deviating from modern sciences, and no clearly defined difference be-tween disciplinary learning and academic study. The authors offered the following suggests: in the process of mod-ernization, the origin of Taijiquan should be clarified as soon as possible; issues such as the transformation of Tai-jiquan from a traditional form to a modern form, and the cultural and scientific nature of Taijiquan, should be dealt with correctly; the fitness value and boxing function of Taijiquan should be developed rationally.
