| （Department of Physical Education，Shanghai Jiao Tong University，Shanghai 200030，China） Abstract: By applying such scientific research methods as literature data retrieval, expert interview and field inves-tigation, and on the basis of expatiating on the necessity for establishing a public security response system for big sports events, the authors analyzed such problems faced by public security for big sports events in China as incom-plete existing public security response legal system, weak public security awareness, risks brought by economic and social transformation, and to be perfected public security information management system, and put forward relevant ideas for response in such three aspects as establishing an early warning mechanism, a feedback mechanism and a handling mechanism for public security for big sports events.
