(Department of Physical Education,Guangdong University of Business Studies,Guangzhou 510320,China) Abstract: There are a lot of problems in the common college physical education teacher evaluation and employ-ment system in China today: the evaluation mode is undiversified; scientific research ability of college physical education teachers is valued, but their teaching ability and professional capacity are ignored; the specificity of the engagement of common college physical education teachers in public physical education teaching is neglected, which results in many signs of corruption. The author put forward the following countermeasures: the common col-lege physical education teacher evaluation and employment system in China today must be reformed; the “auton-omy” of institutes of higher learning for job title evaluation should be extended; an evaluation and employment sys-tem suitable for common college physical education teachers should be established and completed in a people ori-entated manner, and its evaluation system should be perfected.
