| （Department of Physical Education，Changsha University，Changsha 410003，China） Abstract: By applying such methods as literature study, questionnaire survey and expert interview, the author stud-ied issues about the design of common college public physical education teaching materials, and considered that public physical education teaching materials currently used by most institutes of higher learning are design concep-tion unclear, defective in terms of content, structure and form, and lacking in features, which seriously affects their using effect. The author worked out a basic framework for the design of common college public physical education teaching materials.
