(Henan University,1.School of Physical Education,2.Department of Physical Education,Kaifeng 475000,China) Abstract: The author probed into the concept and classification of explorative learning in physical education, and revealed the following findings: according to different learning contents, explorative learning in physical education can be divided into sports technique exploration, sports tactic exploration, sports and health knowledge exploration, and physical stamina enhancement exploration; “discovery type exploration” is mostly adopted in exploration in the categories of sports techniques, tactics and physical stamina enhancement, usually in a curricular and extracurricular exercises combined mode, so as to enhance students’ level of rational recognition of technique and tactic learning, increase their reserve of background knowledge, and cultivate their abilities to apply techniques and tactics flexibly and to enhance physical stamina; “acceptance type exploration” should be adopted for sports and health knowledge exploration, so as to alleviate the contradiction between extensive knowledge and limited class teaching time, and enhance students’ efficiency in knowledge internalization, retention and application.
