(School of Physical Education,South China Normal University,Guangzhou 510006,China) Abstract: From the perspective of theories of public policies and sports sociology, and by using statistics in the survey of the current state of “Public Participation in Asian Games 2010 in Guangzhou”, which indicated that the public have a relatively high degree of understanding, participation intention and expectation of stadium related de-cisions, but have a relatively low degree of right awareness and participation with actual actions, the author ana-lyzed and demonstrated that “democratized decision making” is the inevitable way to the development of stadiums in China, and probed into the course of action to democratized decision making in such 5 aspects as establishing a rational need investigation procedure, establishing and perfecting the system of stadium decision voting by democ-ratic groups and the public, perfecting the stadium construction budget monitoring mechanism, becoming a public product supply responsible government, and democratization of stadium financial decision making.
