(1.School of Physical and Healthy,East China Normal University,Shanghai 200241,China;2.Department of Physical Education,Changji College,Changji 831100,China) Abstract: The authors analyzed such issues occurring in physical education curriculum reform as teaching content selection, teaching of competitive sports events, change of student’s learning methods, as well as development and utilization of curriculum resources, and put forward the following opinions: physical education teaching contents should be selected according the characteristics of student’s physical and mental development and connected with student’s life experiences and actual circumstances by following the principles for combining fitness nature with cultural nature, selectivity with effectiveness, national characteristics with world characteristics; physical education curriculum does not go against competitive events, and it can exert its multiple functions and values after competi-tive events are turned into teaching materials; new learning methods, such as independent learning, cooperative learning and explorative learning, should be used in a combined way according to specific circumstances; physical education teachers are basic conditional resources of physical education curriculum; the key to the development of curriculum resources is teachers; teaching materials that facilitate student’s physical and mental development and satisfy interest and love should be developed.
