Abstract: On the basis of reviewing the history of scholastic Wushu education and analyzing its current state, the authors compared Chinese Wushu with western sport in terms of culture, and concluded that Wushu and sport have different cultural attributes and disciplinary attributes, and in terms of disciplinary status they should be in a parallel but not compatible relation. The authors discussed the necessity and feasibility of establishing an independent Wushu disciplinary system. Scholastic education is significantly related to the communication and development of Wushu; Wushu disciplinary awareness must be intensified in order to better rebuild the scholastic Wushu education system, and to boost the development of Wushu.
