| （1.Department of Physical Education，Hunan Traffic Vocational Technologic Academy，Changsha 410004，China；2.School of Physical Education，Hunan Normal University，Changsha 410012，China） Abstract: Whereas competitive sports play an irreplaceable role in boosting people’s physical and mental health, inspiring human being’s creative potentials and enhancing national cohesion, they also show a certain sign of alien-ation, which triggers the occurrence of the sign of ethical missing in the process of athlete cultivation, and damages the lawful and legitimate rights of some athletes to a certain extent. Hence it is required that we should respect ath-lete’s basic personal rights, ensure their right for physical health, care about their right for mental health, protect their basic right for being educated, and maintain their right for future development, i.e. the whole society should pay “ethical type” attention and concern to competitive athletes.
