(1.School of Physical Education,Leshan Normal College,Leshan 614000,China;2.Sports Institute,American Arab League University,Ohio,USA) Abstract: By applying qualitative and quantitative analytical methods, the authors analyzed differences in teaching practice for the physical education specialty in China and the United States, and revealed the following findings: there is a significant difference in teaching practice in these two countries in such aspects as teaching environment, teaching guidance and adviser determination, which reflects the uniqueness of teaching practice in these two coun-tries and the importance of cultural environment; class instructors provide Chinese interns with more experiences, helping them actively fit in school life and learning environments in terms of social occupation; multi-aspect re-quirements of specialized courses opened and sports skills provide Chinese interns with good technical and psycho-logical preparations, while various practice processes designed in multiple courses provide US interns with suffi-cient experiences before practicing; valuing theories and pedagogical knowledge has made preparations for US in-terns.
