| （1.Department of Police Physical Education，Hunan Public Security College，Changsha 410138，China；2.School of Physical Education，Jishou University，Jishou 416000，China） Abstract: For the protection of immaterial cultural heritages, the “immaterial nature” of the heritages should be highlighted, the social value of the protected subjects and contents should be embodied, and the heritages should be utilized rationally. The authors analyzed inspirations from the protection of immaterial cultural heritages for the protection of Chinese minority nationality folk sports culture, and pointed out the following ways for the protection of Chinese minority nationality folk sports culture: 1) build a leveled protection system; 2) establish a information database; 3) strengthen the protection and cultivation of people in minority nationality folk sports culture; 4) build an atmosphere of folk sports traditions.
