(School of Sociology,Shenyang Normal University,Shenyang 110034,China) Abstract: Social transition and system innovation vitalized sport in China. Sport in China is provided with multiple industrial and commercial attributes and values. Sports sociology has got an extremely rare opportunity to go up to the disciplinary frontline. However, at present there are many problems with sports sociology, such as: empirical re-search is far short to become the leading research norm, although it has improved a lot; most researchers studied countermeasures, there is a lack of necessary theoretical support, and the discipline is not sufficiently fitting into the frontline of social science; inadequate multidisciplinary participation, and there is a lack of accurate grasp and un-derstanding of social conditions and sports system transition achievements. How to integrate the power of sports science and sociology to make unique contributions to the study of social transition in China is a time topic with theoretical and practical values.
