(School of Physical Education and Health,East China Normal University,Shanghai 200241,China) Abstract: The authors introduced such a concept as “sound and age-appropriate physically weak college students”, expatiated on the reasons for studying strategies for improving the fitness of this group of people, put forward strategies for improving the fitness of “sound and age-appropriate physically weak college students” based on the perspective of culture, and emphasized the followings: in setting up contents to be implemented in physical educa-tion learning and physical education curriculum, we should not only focus on the cultivation of sports cultural mak-ings in sports classes, but also include various jobs such as sports culture lecturing and learning, sports community activities and sports team training into the “recessive physical education curriculum” for unified planning, and try to make intramural and extramural resources available for improving material conditions and creating a sports atmos-phere, and in the mean time, take certain compulsive measures to enable physically weak students to have practical exercising experiences, so that they will form a correct exercising attitude and a good exercising habit which can be maintained for a lifetime, so as to boost the realization of the goals of scholastic physical education.
