Department of Wushu,Shanghai Sports University,Shanghai 200438,China) Abstract: By means of literature data acquisition and logic analysis, from the perspective of cultural development, and by basing their research subject on Chinese Wushu education, the authors studied several development periods went through by Wushu in the education area, revealed that in the education area Chinese Wushu focused too much on technical inheritance and innovation, but neglected Wushu cultural inheritance, thus put forward such a new conception as that cultural inheritance is more important than technical inheritance and so we should focus on cul-tural communication, and expatiated on and analyzed the necessity to sharpen the cultural awareness. Via their study, the authors considered that cultural teaching should be treated as a new conception, which is the cultural re-gainment of Chinese Wushu, and the cultural dignity to deal with extraneous impacts. Sharpening the cultural awareness is in conformity with the trend of today’s society rationally developing and inheriting traditional culture, and also the need for showing the characteristics of our own national culture when facing the heat of globalization.
