3.Department of Physical Education and Arts，Hunan University of Chinese Medicine，Changsha 410007，China）Abstract: Basing their research subject on Wushu culture in Menggong village in Xinhua Hunan, the authors made a field study of Meishan Wugong passed on locally, and put forward the following opinions: the regional cultural characteristics of Meishan Wugong include primitive, powerful and “tough”; Meishan Wugong has the characteris-tics of a folk custom, embodying local village folk culture. The authors emphatically analyzed the effects of Me-ishan Wugong on the social development of Menggong village, and the realistic significance of Meishan Wugong in local new rural construction, hoping to let more local villagers know about the social value of Meishan Wugong ob-jectively, and participate in Meishan Wugong activities actively, so as to inherit local national culture.
