| （Department of Physical Education，Inner Mongolia Finance and Economics College，Hohhot 010051，China） Abstract: The author made a comparative study of the course of production and development of the Olympic Games and Naadam Fair, as well as the ways of expression and functions of the cultural value of the conceptions of “peace, friendship, solidarity and advancement”, the requirements of being “faster, stronger and higher” and the principle of “fair competition” advocated by the Olympic Games, and the ecological and ethical views of “admiring nature, cherishing life and harmonious coexistence between man and nature” and the spirits of “admiring heroes, keeping promises and enterprising” embodied in the Naadam Fair. The purpose of this study is to seek for things that can be learnt from each other.
