摘      要：罗马人对角斗活动的热爱是世界上其他任何一个民族都无法比拟的。古罗马人独特的祭祀习俗是角斗活动兴起的宗教基础；勇猛好战的性格是角斗活动兴起的精神基础；享乐至上的生活习性是角斗活动兴起的现实基础；罗马法中自然法精神是角斗活动兴起的法理基础；罗马社会中合法暴力思维是角斗活动兴起的社会基础。

Abstract: The love of the Romans for combating was matchless for any other nations in the world. The unique rit-ual custom of the ancient Romans was the religious foundation for the booming of combating; their intrepid and belligerent character was the spiritual foundation for the booming of combating; their enjoyment utmost living habit was the realistic foundation for the booming of combating; the spirit in the natural law in ancient Roman laws was the legal foundation for the booming of combating; the legal violence thinking in the Roman society was the social foundation for the booming of combating.
