(1.Department of Physical Education,University of South China,Henyang 421008,China;2.School of Physical Education,Guangxi Normal University,Guilin 541004,China;3.Department of Physical Education,Xiangtan University,Xiangtan 411105,China) Abstract: By taking depression, anxiety and obsession as their research cases, the authors made a sports interven-tion study of totally 6 mental disorder suffering college students, respectively two students for each symptom. On the basis of thoroughly understanding the testees’ conditions and analyzing their nosogeneses, the authors worked out sports therapy plans by combining action specific sports therapy, general sports therapy and mental guidance. Through an 8-week sports intervention experiment, coupled with the record of observation before and after sports intervention as well as questionnaire survey results, the authors drew the following conclusions: after sports thera-peutic intervention all the correlation factors were somewhat lowered, and the testees’ physical and mental health was improved; however, sports therapy had a different therapeutic effect on mental disorders of different degrees, its intervention effect on a medium or serious symptom was better than that on a mild symptom.
