| （1.Department of Physical Education，Hebei Polytechnic University，Tangshan 063009，China；2.School of Physical Education，Anyan Normal University，Anyang 455002，China） Abstract: The authors specified the necessity and feasibility to apply metaphorical wording in the writing of theses on sports humanistic sociology, and thought that the timely and rational application of metaphorical wording can enhance the infectivity and persuasion of sports term expression, having the functions of figurative statement, euphemistic expression, concise abstraction. and auxiliary demonstration of theory subjects, also having such appli-cation characteristics as guiding, whole, demonstrative and forward looking, being different from literature writing or daily life writing. The authors performed an actual application case analysis in such two longitudinal aspects as general metaphorical expression and conceptive metaphorical expression, and thought that the actual application of metaphorical wording has a bigger space tension and flexibility, and no unified expression standards, but has intrin-sic aesthetical requirements macroscopically, so two metaphorically worded things should be alike as much as pos-sible in terms of shape, meaning and essence. The authors put forward some macroscopic ideas for dealing with di-lemmas in thesis writing, hoping to make the writing process more easy going, comfortable and enjoyable, so that sports workers should have the confidence and conditions to do metaphorical wording.
