| （1.Department of Social Sports，Hebei Institute of Physical Education，Shijiazhuang 050041，China；2.Beijing Sports University，Beijing 100084，China） Abstract: From the perspective of history, the authors collated and examined the root and course of development of the National Games system between 1910 and 1948, and revealed the following findings: the National Games sys-tem between 1910 and 1948 went through such 3 development stages as the transformation from traditional to mod-ern in the late Qing dynasty government period, the reclamation of the organizing and hosting right and local culture initial penetration in the Northern Warlords period, and the practice of National Games system localization in the national government period, and the development of sports competition talent specialization and professionalization, competitive sports talent cultivation systematization, as well as competition marketization and industrialization, and was also troubled by the problem of bad competition atmospheres and disciplines produced by championism.
