| （School of Physical Education，Guizhou Normal University，Guiyang 550001，China） Abstract: The author probed into the issue of sports choices of national minority villages in the construction of new socialist countries, and revealed the following findings: national minority villages has such current states as that the lack of playgrounds and facilities restricts the development of modern sport, and that it is difficult for life awareness orientation to focus more intensively on pure sport; national minority sport has such characteristics as extensive adaptability, distinct nationality and conventionality, and value system diversification. Via his study the author con-cluded that in the early few decades of the construction of new socialist countries in national minority villages, it is not only feasible but also effective to fully utilize the traditional sport of their own nations.
