| （School of Physical Education，Hefei Normal University，Hefei 230061，China） Abstract: “Sports system” covers comprehensive sports attributes such as competition and leisure, being a system consisting of many general objective congruent yet mutually interacting and constraining elements. What the com-prehensive development of sports depends on is the coordinated development of all subsystems. However, when it is used, the concept of “sports system” is confused in terms of the logical relation between its parent system and sub-systems, unable to accurately reflect its connotations. “Sports system” should be correctly understood and accurately used, and a complete overall perspective of sports system under the new situation should be established.
