(School of Physical Education,Xinjiang Normal University,Urumqi 830054,China) Abstract: From the perspectives of protecting traditional minority national sports performance events and optimiz-ing the structure of featured physical education curriculum, the authors affirmed the necessity to open a Uigurian course as a college featured physical education course, analyzed the course contents, teaching methods, teaching means, teacher team and teaching evaluation system with respect to this course in specific implementation, and summarized the effects of course implementation as follows: Xingjiang University opened a “Daolang dance” course for students to boost their interpersonal relationships by dancing, which is conducive to maintaining physical and mental heath; the Musice dance course opened in Physical Education College of Xingjiang University is helpful to enhance the physical makings and musical accomplishments of students majoring in arts; the Musice dance course has enhanced the stage performance and innovation abilities of students in the physical education department of Municipal Occupational University of Urumchi by means of team cohesion. Inheriting and developing Uigurian dance by basing its platform on college featured physical education curriculum can dissolve the crisis of social pe-ripherization of traditional national sports.
