| （1.School of Physical Education，Northeast Normal University，Changchun 130024，China；2.Department of Physical Education，Dalian University of Technology，Dalian 116023，China；3.School of Physical Education，Jiangxi Normal University，Nanchang 330099，China） Abstract: From the perspective of gender logic, the authors studied gender issues in sports, especially men and masculinity, and concluded that in traditional gender logic sports is considered as an approach to cultivate masculin-ity and a way for men to gain masculinity, which has resulted in that sports venues become places reserved for men. However, the admiration of traditional masculinity by sports damages the health of men and causes the inequality in sports participation between men and women, while it is benefiting men. The retrospection of traditional sports in which men has a dominating position is conducive to realizing real equality in sports between men and women.
