(School of Physical Education,Northeast Normal University,Changchun 130024,China) Abstract: In spiritually declining education today, student spirit forging needs to be “calcium supplemented” by the physical education curriculum. Although rationalism is the basic logic for constructing the physical education cur-riculum, it cares little about human spirit, keeps destructing the spiritual connotations of physical education curricu-lum design, and breaks the relationship between the physical education curriculum and student’s body and spirit, which results in that the physical education curriculum is lacking in humanistic spirit that fits into the time. Such spiritual considerations as having great expectations mentally, working hard physically, seeking for truth, advocating kindness and appreciating beauties are absolutely not simple curriculum conception changes, curriculum content in-creases or decreases and method innovations, but a sort of change of curriculum thinking manner, a round of tran-scendence in modern physical education curriculum reform on the basis of reflection rationalism, and an important dimension for fulfilling the “value adding” of the physical education curriculum.
