The authors compared and analyzed the living habits and health conditions of school age children of peasant workers in Shanghai and urban school age children, and revealed the following findings: the dietary habits of urban school age children were significantly better than those of school age children of peasant workers; in terms of physical activity, school age children of peasant workers had significantly more daily activity time than urban school age children, and their learning pressure was lower than that of urban school age children; the obesity rate and myopia rate of school age children of peasant workers were significantly lower than those of urban school age children, but the obesity rate of school age boys of peasant workers was at a high level as well.
