| (School of Business Administration, South China University of Technology,Guangzhou 510640,China) Abstract: Hosting a large-scale comprehensive international games successively will greatly boost the international status of the hosting city and promote the rapid development of economy and society of the hosting city,and is a sure choice for regional central cities in the world during the development of modernization. By applying correlative theories such as industrial economics, systematics and theory of urban competitive power, and using the combined method of quality and quantity determinations,the authors elaborated the profound influence of hosting the Asian Games on the benefit of long term investment of Guangzhou constructional investment,competitive power of Guangzhou internationally,industrial structure and social development.
