The authors analyzed the trend of cultural development of the evolution of behaviors of tourism consumption and the opportunities for the development of sports and recreative tourism resources in western regions from the point of view of cultural science,probed into cultural connotation and external characteristics of sports and recreative tourism resources in western regions,and expatiated on the thinking orientation for the exploitation of sports and recreative tourism resources in western regions in our country at the end.
