2.Department of Physical Education，School of Education，SUN YAT-SEN University，Guangzhou 510275，China）Abstract: The authors analyzed factors which hinder the development of high performance sports teams in common institutes of higher learning in China, such as insufficient assurance of conditions for high performance team con-struction, unclearly specified levels of student recruitment, unperfected competition systems, the lack of high per-formance coaches, inappropriate resolution of conflicts between studying and training etc., and based on their analysis, worked out solutions in terms of assurance fund raising channels, optimized configuration of coach teams, student resource expansion, competition mechanism perfection etc.
