Competition is for proving the superiority of the human body and showing powerfulness; battling is for gaining honors, contesting is for proving courage, fighting is for winning victory. Competition is a constructive noble factor, generating the courage to pursue honors, enabling both innocent soul and strong body to find a sort of unique cul-tural care in competitive sports, becoming some short of appreciation and experience in which human society cre-ates beauty. Probing into the essence of competitive sports must become the priority process for understanding hu-man nature; we should look for clues to the essence of competitive sports from the perspective of philosophy.
