(1.School of Physical Education,South China Normal University,Guangzhou 510006,China;2.Gradute Department,Guangzhou Sports University,Guangzhou 510500,China;3.School of Education Science,South China Normal University,Guangzhou 510006,China;4.Communication Department,Sports Agency of Guangdong Province,Guangzhou 510105,China) Abstract: In order to understand the EEG α wave characteristics of race walkers at different levels, and to probe into the EEG signal characteristics of their sport-specific homeostasis, the authors collected the EEG α wave data of 56 specimens of 5 master race walkers at different stages of training by using an advanced sports training monitor, extracted competitive performance information implied in the SpSH of the race walkers, did a statistical analysis by means of prin-cipal component analysis and order parameter theory, and revealed the following finding: the SpSH quality of a race walker in excellent condition is significantly higher than that of a race walker in ordinary condition, which means that the order parameter (dominant frequency at 10 Hz) of the EEG α wave of a race walker may represent his/her SpSH quality.
