| （Department of Physical Education，Guangdong Institute of Science and Technology，Zhuhai 519090，China) Abstract: The author analyzed foreign reserve football talent cultivation systems, and put forward the following opinions: foreign reserve football talent cultivation systems can be divided into two types, namely, cultivation sys-tems which base primarily on school football, and cultivation systems which base primarily on professional club teams; countries whose football performance is relatively poor should adopt a cultivation system which bases pri-marily on school football; foreign reserve football talent cultivation systems’ inspirations to Chinese reserve football talent cultivation are as follows: at this stage China must return to the cultivation system which bases primarily on school football; government guidance; focus on “community football” and “rural school football”; exert club’s talent advantages; vigorously promote the organic combination of schools and clubs; establish and perfect a fundamental teenager competition system; implement “Weekend League”.
