(1.School of Physical Education,Guangzhou University,Guangzhou 510006,China;2.School of Physical Education and Health,East China Normal University,Shanghai 200241,China) Abstract: The authors investigated and analyzed the current situation of the physical and mental health of elemen-tary and middle school students, probed into factors which affect the physical and mental health of elementary and middle school students, made up exercise prescriptions to intervene the physical and mental health of elementary and middle school students, and revealed the following findings: currently the physical and mental health of ele-mentary and middle school students is generally at an above average level; factors such as gender, grade, figure, academic achievement, family background, economic income, lodging form and school type etc affect the physical and mental health of elementary and middle school students; making up suitable exercise prescriptions can effec-tively intervene the physical and mental health of elementary and middle school students, and promote the benign development of their physical and mental health.
