| （School of Physical Education and Training，Shanghai University of Sport，Shanghai 200438，China) Abstract: The currently executed Curriculum Plan for the Regular Physical Education Major in Common Institutes of Higher Learning has such problems as “deviating from major connotations in terms of overall plotting”, “lacking in actual circumstance targeted care in terms of class hour distribution”, “difficult to adapt to teacher’s profession-alization development in terms of curriculum configuration”. The authors proposed to pay attention to the following 4 issues in the future revision of the Curriculum Plan: 1) redefine the word “complex” in the original objective from the perspectives of the diversity of physical education teaching work and physical education teacher type; 2) set up main courses based on the uniqueness of physical education teaching work; 3) return the “direction” setting of elec-tive courses from the entire sports industry to the physical education industry; 4) moderately increase class hours for technical courses and reduce the number of courses to be learnt at the same time.
