(1.School of Physical Education,South China Normal University,Guangzhou 510006,China;2.School of Physical Education,Guangzhou University,Guangzhou 510006,China) Abstract: Based on reviewing and analyzing the course of development of physical education learning evaluation reform in elementary and middle school in China in the second half of the 20th century and physical education learning evaluation reform in the new century, the author probed into the pendulum phenomenon in the development of physical education learning evaluation in elementary and middle schools in China, and proposed that physical education learning evaluation reformers must maintain a comprehensive understanding of essential functions of school physical education, accurately grasp the hierarchy of objectives of physical education learning evaluation, build a diversified evaluation content system based on stamina and sports skill bottom line evaluation, and reduce the swinging amplitude of physical education learning evaluation reform.
